Shandong Changshengda steel co.,ltd once again supports "super engineering"! The largest diameter special buckle seamless casing in China has been successfully used in the "Wanmike exploration well"

Recently, the world's first Wanmike exploration well with the most complex geological conditions and the highest drilling difficulty, "Shendi Chuanke 1 Well," led by PetroChina Southwest Oil and Gas Field, has been drilled in the Sichuan Basin.

Shandong Changshengda steel co.,ltd organized a research and development team to customize a complete casing selection solution for the well, with a total of 14 non-standard structural casings designed and developed. Among them, the 25 inch (635mm) special buckle casing used in the core well section is currently the largest diameter special buckle seamless casing in China.

In order to meet the drilling cycle of the key project of "Shendi Chuanke 1 Well", Shandong Changshengda steel co.,ltd has established a special project team and collaborated with brother units under CITIC Taifu Special Steel Group, such as Daye Special Steel Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Taifu Seamless Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., to jointly complete the production task of ultra large diameter casing. At present, the first batch of casing produced by Shandong Changshengda steel co.,ltd has been transported to the oil field.

Shendi Chuanke 1 Well

The Shendi Chuanke 1 well is led by PetroChina Southwest Oil and Gas Field, with a designed well depth of 10520 meters. Ten thousand meter deep oil and gas drilling is a "super engineering" in the global oil and gas exploration field, and has become one of the important indicators to measure the level of engineering technology and equipment. Due to its complex geological structure, the "Shendi Chuanke 1 Well" located in the Sichuan Basin has become the world's most difficult 10000 meter deep well to drill, benchmarking against 13 global engineering difficulty indicators. The seven difficulty indicators of "Shendi Chuanke 1 Well" rank first in the world.
