On November 8, 2023, Shandong Changshengda steel co.,ltd., an intelligent manufacturing demonstration project for optimizing product structure and implementing transformation and upgrading in the steel industry of Shandong Province, was launched The successful passing of the piercing machine on the φ258mm seamless steel pipe continuous rolling production line marks the final sprint stage of the project.

The total investment of this project is 1.5 billion yuan, with an annual production capacity of 600000 tons. It adopts internationally leading process technology and uses more than 10 sets of intelligent robots. For the first time in the industry, it comprehensively realizes functions such as steel pipe tracking, automatic judgment and prediction of steel pipe quality, intelligent equipment management, and intelligent security, achieving full process material and quality tracking and control.

This production line can produce seamless steel pipes with a diameter of 114mm-273.1mm and a wall thickness of 4mm-31.8mm. And focus on developing high-end varieties such as pipes for acidic and offshore oil and gas fields, pipes for nuclear power plants, pipes for high-temperature supercritical and above thermal power unit boilers, and pipes for gas cylinders, establishing the company's leading position in the high-end seamless steel pipe product market.

After the project is put into operation, Shandong Changshengda Steel Pipe will take a solid and important step towards achieving the goal of becoming a global leader in energy steel.

It is reported that the continuous rolling, sizing, finishing and other processes of the project will undergo hot testing one after another, and it is expected to achieve full line connectivity on December 28th.
